Maccabi Haifa's Manuel Benson Diagnosed With ACL and Meniscus Tears

Maccabi Haifa announced on Tuesday that midfielder Manuel Benson has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and a torn meniscus following an MRI scan. This confirmed the club's earlier concerns after Benson was injured during the Toto Cup ranking match against Hapoel Kiryat Shmona. The club stated that Benson will begin treatment and rehabilitation under medical supervision and wished him a speedy and full recovery, pledging support throughout his rehabilitation process.

Benson joined Maccabi Haifa in the mid-season transfer window last year on a free transfer from Burnley FC in England. His injury adds to the club's already extensive list of injured players, which includes Finegizcht, Cornejo, Elad Amir, Kasa (who has recently completed rehabilitation), and Kiyof. The club is now facing challenges in maintaining squad depth due to these multiple injuries.
