Home Front Command Tightens Rules as Israel Remains on High Alert
Israel’s Home Front Command toughened public safety instructions even before any concrete warning, drawing on lessons from the previous round of fighting. As a result, shows scheduled for yesterday and today in Tel Aviv were canceled after a nationwide limit on public gatherings was imposed, while the education system is set to operate normally tomorrow.
Earlier, the IDF said Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir had held a planning review with Northern Command. Zamir said the army is closely monitoring developments while maintaining a high level of alertness and readiness across all arenas, adding that “the situation is currently sensitive and complex.”
He also said, “The IDF as a whole is determined, alert, ready and operating with varying levels of intensity in all sectors. Lebanon is our main center of gravity, but we are also preparing for developments in other arenas.”
