Home Front Command eases some restrictions, caps public gatherings at 5,000
Israel’s Home Front Command announced a change to civilian defense instructions on Sunday, as the IDF prepares for possible Iranian fire toward Israel. The updated rules take effect this evening and remain in force until tomorrow at 8:00 p.m.
Under the new policy, most of the country will return to full activity, but public gatherings will be limited to 5,000 people. In the front-line border area, however, activity will remain partial and the instructions there will not change.
The announcement also led to the cancellation of two scheduled evening concerts, by Omer Adam and Eyal Golan. The IDF said the Home Front Command is continuing to hold ongoing situation assessments.
According to the military, if there are further changes to the defense policy, the public will be updated on the official Home Front Command and IDF Spokesperson platforms.
