Home Front Command lifts public gathering limits after Iran agreement
Israel’s Home Front Command announced Monday morning that it was easing civilian defense restrictions across the country after the previous day’s tighter nationwide guidance, which had been introduced amid preparations for possible fire from Iran following President Donald Trump’s announcement of an agreement.
According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, the updated policy took effect at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, and will remain in force until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. The main change is the removal of the cap on public gatherings of up to 5,000 people in all areas of the country.
One exception remains in the confrontation line area, where activity will continue in a partial format and the instructions are unchanged. The military said the Home Front Command is continuing to carry out ongoing situation assessments.
The IDF added that the public will be updated through the official channels of the Home Front Command and the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit if further changes are made to the defense policy.
