Home Front Command Keeps Current Defense Guidelines in Place for Coming Days

The Home Front Command’s defense policy across the country remains unchanged for now, it was decided this evening, Wednesday, following a special security assessment held by IDF professionals. The current instructions have been officially extended and will remain in effect until this coming Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.

The Home Front Command says it continues to hold ongoing situation assessments around the clock to examine the security situation and the various threats, and if any changes or easing of the defense policy are decided, the public will be updated immediately through the media and official platforms.

Partial activity in the north: list of localities under the updated instructions. The border-adjacent instruction area, along with a list of specific localities in the Galilee, will continue to operate under a partial activity level only. The localities subject to the special restrictions are: Sufsufa, Meron, Or HaGanuz, Bar Yochai, Yesod HaMa'ala, Kisra-Sumei, Beit Jann and Sde Eliezer.

In the border-adjacent localities and in these towns, the following instructions will apply: Educational activities, studies and summer camps may be held only in a closed building or in a physical location from which it is possible to reach a standard protected shelter within the protection time defined for that area. Workplaces, business and commercial activity may be conducted in a building or place from which it is possible to reach a standard protected shelter within the protection time.

Gathering limits in the border-adjacent area, the rest of the country as usual. In addition to the education and employment instructions, the Home Front Command is imposing clear restrictions on holding events, prayers and gatherings in the border-adjacent areas and the localities listed above. According to the scale, gatherings of up to 100 people will be allowed only in open areas, and up to 400 people at most inside a closed building. This restriction directly affects family events, celebrations and mass prayers in the relevant northern localities.

Meanwhile, in the rest of the country, in all other areas from north to south, a full activity level has been set. This means that in the rest of the country, the economy, the education system and gatherings continue under complete routine and without special restrictions, subject to heeding the usual warnings.
