Home Front Command caps gatherings nationwide at 5,000 amid security tension
After a situation assessment, the Israel Home Front Command decided to change civil defense policy across the country because of security tensions and preparations for the possibility of rocket fire at Israel. The new instructions take effect on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. and will remain in force until Monday, June 15, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.
In all areas of the country except the conflict-line zone, normal activity will be allowed, but public gatherings of more than 5,000 people will be restricted. In the conflict-line zone, partial activity will continue with no change to the existing instructions.
The Home Front Command said it is continuing regular situation assessments and that any further changes to the defense policy will be announced on the Home Front Command and IDF Spokesperson’s official platforms.
