Home Front Command lifts nationwide gathering limits after Trump-Iran deal
After President Trump reached an agreement with Iran and the threat of missile fire from Iran toward Israel eased, the Israel Defense Forces announced an update to Home Front Command defensive guidelines on Monday morning. Following a situational assessment, the gathering restrictions that had been in place nationwide were lifted starting at 10:00 a.m.
The official order says the nationwide removal of limits will remain in effect until Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. In practical terms, mass events across Israel can now be held without a cap on attendance. The one exception is the front-line border area in the north, where only partial activity is still allowed and special instructions remain unchanged.
The change follows several days in which public events were limited to 5,000 participants across the country because of Iranian threats to launch missiles at Israel after the strike in Beirut’s Dahieh district. Until now, Home Front Command had kept the restrictions in place while the security situation remained tense.
The IDF said it is continuing continuous assessments and will update the public through official Home Front Command and military spokesperson channels if policy changes again. It also urged people to keep following instructions and remain alert, since the guidelines could change again if the security situation shifts.
