Israel’s Home Front Command said on Sunday evening that restrictions will be lifted in communities along the border confrontation line starting Monday, June 22, at 6:00 a.m. The change means full normal activity can resume across the country, including in areas near the Lebanese border that had been under limits on education, gatherings, services and workplaces.
According to the command, the update follows its latest situational assessment and an adjustment to civil defense policy. The communities of Sifsufa, Miron, Or HaGanuz, Bar Yohai, Yesud HaMa'ala, Ksa'ra-Smeia, Beit Jann and Sha'ab al-Eli are moving from partial activity to full activity.
The command said this is the first time since April that all restrictions have been removed nationwide and the country is again classified as “green.” Just last week, the Home Front Command tightened guidance across Israel and imposed a limit on gatherings of up to 5,000 people, but that restriction was later lifted after security developments.
