Israel’s Home Front Command said on Sunday evening that all restrictions will be lifted in the communities along the confrontation line starting Monday, June 22, at 6:00 a.m., restoring full routine across the country. The decision means schools, gatherings, services and workplaces in the northern border area near Lebanon will no longer be subject to the earlier limitations.
Until now, those communities had been operating under restrictions on educational activity, assemblies, services and workplaces. With the updated guidance, the country will again be considered “green,” indicating a full return to normal activity.
The Command said the policy change was made “in accordance with the situational assessment” and reflects an update to its protective guidelines. The communities moving from partial to full activity are Sifsufa, Miron, Or HaGanuz, Bar Yohai, Yesud HaMa’ala, Ksra-Samia, Beit Jann and Sde Eliezer.
This is the first time all restrictions have been removed since April. Just last week, the Home Front Command tightened instructions nationwide and imposed a limit on gatherings of up to 5,000 people, but that restriction was later lifted during the week as security developments evolved.
