Israel’s Home Front Command said on Sunday that it will remove civilian restrictions from the conflict-line area and several nearby communities starting Monday at 6:00 a.m., as the security situation has improved. The update follows what the military described as a continued ceasefire in Lebanon and an end to rocket fire toward northern Israeli towns.
According to the announcement, the affected areas, including Sefsufa, Meron, Or HaGanuz, Bar Yohai, Yesud HaMa'ala, Kisra-Sumei, Beit Jann, and Sde Eli'ezer, will move from partial activity to full activity, with no restrictions. The military said that as a result, there will be no Home Front Command restrictions anywhere in Israel.
The IDF spokesperson said residents should continue following Home Front Command instructions and rely on the organization’s official platforms and the IDF spokesperson’s channels for any future changes. The new policy is set to take effect on Monday, June 22, 2026.
Earlier, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir visited southern Lebanon and said, “We will no longer allow a security reality in which radical terror organizations establish themselves on our borders. Hezbollah has suffered a severe and deep blow, and we are committed to staying prepared to continue operating and prevent its recovery.” He added that the announced ceasefire is fragile and that Israel must remain ready for a renewed round of fighting.
