Benny Dreyfus Steps Down as CEO of Israel's Mifal HaPais After 6.5 Years

Benny Dreyfus, CEO of Mifal HaPais, Israel's national lottery and social welfare organization, announced on August 16, 2026, his decision to resign after serving 6.5 years in the role. Dreyfus was recognized for leading a broad social revolution within the organization, significantly expanding its activities to support various sectors of Israeli society and strengthening partnerships with local authorities nationwide.

During his tenure, Dreyfus spearheaded initiatives that established economic anchors for municipalities and developed programs targeting diverse populations. Since the outbreak of the "Iron Swords" war, he played a key role in directing emergency efforts, enhancing aid to local authorities and residents, particularly in the southern and northern regions affected by conflict. Mifal HaPais mobilized resources to support communities impacted by the war and to bolster social resilience during crises.

Itzik Lari, Chairman of Mifal HaPais, expressed deep gratitude for Dreyfus's long-standing contribution, calling him a central figure in cementing the organization as a vital social pillar and a reliable partner to local governments both in routine times and emergencies.
