New Beit Midrash for Teaching Opens in Memory of Rabbi Eliyahu Bakshi Doron in Jerusalem

A new Beit Midrash for teaching named "Binyan Eliyahu" has opened in Modiin Illit in memory of the late Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Eliyahu Bakshi Doron. The institution was established under the leadership of Rabbi Daniel Cohen, a prominent disciple of Rabbi Bakshi Doron. The cornerstone ceremony and inaugural lesson took place at the late Chief Rabbi's residence in the Beit Vagan neighborhood of Jerusalem.

The event was honored by the presence of the current Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, who delivered opening remarks and encouragement to the students and leaders of the kollel. Rabbi Yosef highlighted the deep scholarly and halachic connection between his father, the late Chief Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, and Rabbi Bakshi Doron.

Rabbi Daniel Cohen, head of the new Beit Midrash, and Rabbi Moshe Bakshi Doron, son of the late Chief Rabbi, also gave heartfelt blessings to the founders and organizers, wishing them great success in expanding Torah study and teaching. The new institution continues the sacred work of the "Binyan Eliyahu" institutions and marks a significant addition to the Torah world in Modiin Illit ahead of the Elul season and the upcoming Jewish New Year.
