Dubai GM Praises Israeli EuroLeague Teams Hapoel and Maccabi Tel Aviv Ahead of New Season

With the EuroLeague season set to begin in just over a month, Dubai's General Manager, Dijan Kamniashevich, offered his analysis of the major team changes across the league, including Israel's two representatives, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Tel Aviv. Speaking from Serbia, Kamniashevich highlighted the intense summer transfer market, noting that some teams underwent significant roster changes while others made targeted reinforcements to strengthen their playoff chances.

Kamniashevich described Hapoel Tel Aviv as having become more ambitious and stable with their current roster, calling their progress "very important." He also emphasized that Maccabi Tel Aviv should not be overlooked, praising them as an "exceptional team" with similar stability to Dubai's squad. He further mentioned that Zalgiris Kaunas shares this stability.

Regarding other top contenders, Kamniashevich identified Olympiacos and Fenerbahce as leading favorites for the title, with Anadolu Efes rebuilding their roster but maintaining a strong core. He also predicted Barcelona would be competitive. Ultimately, he named Panathinaikos as the biggest favorite due to coach Željko Obradović and the team's identity.

Kamniashevich concluded by characterizing the EuroLeague as a highly challenging and competitive league, forecasting a tight and tough season ahead.
