Dubai GM Praises Israeli EuroLeague Teams Hapoel and Maccabi Tel Aviv Ahead of New Season

With the new EuroLeague season set to begin in just over a month, Dubai's General Manager, Diyan Kamniashvili, offered an analysis of the recent transfer market and team preparations, including insights on the two Israeli representatives, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Tel Aviv. Kamniashvili noted that Hapoel Tel Aviv has strengthened its roster significantly and become more ambitious, achieving greater stability which he considers crucial. Regarding Maccabi Tel Aviv, he emphasized their exceptional team and similar stability, highlighting them as a notable contender alongside other strong clubs like Zalgiris.

Kamniashvili also commented on other top teams, mentioning Olympiacos and Fenerbahce as leading favorites for the title, and praised Anadolu Efes for rebuilding almost entirely while retaining key players. He predicted a highly competitive and tough league, with Panathinaikos as the top favorite due to their coach Željko Obradović and team identity. Barcelona was also expected to be competitive. Kamniashvili’s remarks reflect the intense competition anticipated in the upcoming EuroLeague season, underscoring the strength and potential of Israeli teams within this challenging environment.
