Man Arrested for Violent Home Invasion and Robbery of Young Woman in Bat Yam

On the night between Thursday and Friday, a young woman in Bat Yam was violently attacked in her home by a 29-year-old man from central Israel. According to police, the suspect broke into her apartment on Haviva Reik Street, assaulted her severely, threatened her, and demanded money. He fled the scene with approximately 6,000 shekels, leaving the woman injured. The incident was reported around 2:30 a.m., and emergency medical teams provided treatment at the scene.

Police launched a search for the suspect, who was located and arrested in Kiryat Ono the following afternoon. At the time of his arrest, authorities found about 4,000 shekels in cash and receipts for clothing purchases totaling roughly 2,000 shekels, matching the amount stolen from the victim. Investigators suspect the suspect spent part of the stolen money on clothes before his capture. Additionally, he was found in possession of a motorcycle believed to be stolen and burglary tools.

The suspect was brought before the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court on Saturday night, where his detention was extended until the following Tuesday. The investigation into the violent robbery continues.
