Zvehil Hasidim Hold Ceremonial Torah Reading for Rebbe's Son in Beitar Illit

On Saturday night, the Zvehil Hasidic community gathered in Beitar Illit to celebrate a "Simchat Shalom" in memory of the son of the Zvehil Rebbe. The event took place in the main study hall of the Hasidic community's central Beit Midrash. This Shabbat also marked the yahrzeit (anniversary of passing) of the previous Zvehil Rebbe, the author of "Mishnat Shlomo."

The Saturday night gathering included a "Shulchan Tahor" meal combined with the memorial celebration, lasting late into the night. Following the meal, attendees spent over an hour reciting the "Mizmor L'Todah" prayer in honor of the Rebbe. On Saturday morning, the current Rebbe hosted the Shabbat meal with the community's scholars to mark the "Shabbat HaHitachdut" (Shabbat of Unity). The honored speaker was Rabbi Israel Berzovsky, the rabbi of the Salon Hasidim in Beitar.

During the third meal, the community held ceremonies marking the completion of the Talmud study cycle, dedicated to the soul of the deceased Rebbe. After Havdalah, a "Kriyas Shema L'yanen" (Torah reading for children) event took place, attended by hundreds of children from the Hasidic community. Afterwards, the children visited the Rebbe to receive sweets.

Additionally, on Saturday night, a "Simchat Vach Nacht" (joyous night celebration) was held, attended by many Hasidim, Rebbes, and rabbis. The event was documented by photographer Ari Kuperstock, capturing the communal celebrations and rituals throughout the night.
