Family of Missing Girl Heymenot Kasao Demands Shin Bet Take Over Investigation

Following the successful resolution of the case involving the mother and daughter Mally and Liel Yahalomi, the family of Heymenot Kasao expressed justified anger over what they see as unequal police treatment. Heymenot's parents, Benji and Taspia Kasao, issued a public statement demanding that the investigation into their daughter's kidnapping be immediately transferred to the Shin Bet, Israel's internal security service.

Heymenot Kasao has been missing for 902 days since her abduction at age nine. Her parents emphasized that unlike the extensive efforts made by the police to locate Mally and Liel Yahalomi, little has been done to find Heymenot. They criticized the Israel Police and its chief, Major General Danny Levi, for failing to provide adequate updates or progress in their case.

The Kasao family highlighted that the elite Lahav 433 unit conducted a wide-ranging investigation to find the Yahalomis, yet they have been left in the dark regarding Heymenot's case. They called on the police leadership, including Lahav 433 head Commissioner Meni Benyamin, to acknowledge their failure and hand over the investigation to the Shin Bet, which they believe is better equipped to handle it.

In closing, the family thanked the Israeli public for their support and urged them to help amplify their call for justice and equal treatment in the search for Heymenot, lamenting that their voices have so far gone unheard.
