Israeli Police Reveal Planned Escape of Mally and Liel Yehalomi to Argentina

Israeli police have concluded that Mally and Liel Yehalomi did not disappear spontaneously but executed a carefully planned escape. Evidence uncovered during the investigation includes a personal correspondence between mother and daughter, withdrawal of approximately 50,000 shekels, deletion of data from their devices, use of artificial intelligence to research escape routes, and prior trips abroad to prepare for their departure.

The investigation revealed a message from Liel to her mother stating, "I will go with you anywhere," indicating her full awareness and voluntary participation in the plan. Authorities found no signs of family violence or unusual debts, suggesting the disappearance was a deliberate decision to leave their previous lives behind. Mally, recently divorced and facing financial difficulties, reportedly sought to start anew far from Israel.

New footage shows the two speaking with Israeli police representative Walter Kogan in South America shortly after being located in Argentina and removed from a bus en route to a confidential destination. The police emphasized that the search operation was conducted solely through police cooperation without involvement from other security agencies. Officials explained the delay in locating them was a strategic choice to avoid exposing cooperating parties in Europe, with no concern for their safety.

During questioning, Mally and Liel cited personal reasons for leaving Israel and declined to disclose further details. The police continue to investigate but maintain that the escape was premeditated and executed with precision over an extended period.
