IDF Tank Hits Explosive in Gaza; Launches Wave of Strikes Following Attack

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that a tank from the Givati Brigade encountered an explosive device during an operational activity in the Gaza Strip on Saturday. No soldiers were injured in the incident. In response to the attack, the IDF initiated a series of airstrikes across Gaza, though specific targets and outcomes have not yet been disclosed.

In a separate event, combat troops from the Paratroopers Brigade identified two militants crossing the "yellow line" in an attempt to sabotage IDF weapons. The soldiers engaged and killed the militants without sustaining any injuries.

Earlier the same day, the Prime Minister's Office issued an unusual statement revealing that three IDF soldiers were seriously wounded in Lebanon by a Hezbollah drone attack. The IDF retaliated by striking a Hezbollah terror headquarters, which the Prime Minister's Office claimed was the command center for the drone assault.

The IDF confirmed that Ali Samir Al-Hajj Hassan, a commander of Hezbollah's Radwan Force battalion, was killed in the strike along with several other militants involved in planning attacks against Israeli forces. The targeted headquarters was used by Hezbollah to coordinate regional operations. The IDF stated that Hassan's family was present during the strike and was reportedly harmed, but emphasized they were not the intended targets. The operation was conducted in accordance with international law, focusing solely on Hassan as a lawful target.
