The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet security agency eliminated Jamal Mahmoud Abu Kamil, a Hamas commander who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre, in the Gaza City area today. Abu Kamil had recently been orchestrating terror attacks against Israeli civilians and military forces. The targeted killing was carried out by an aerial strike to neutralize the immediate threat. IDF Southern Command troops remain deployed in the area under existing agreements and will continue operations to remove any imminent dangers to Israel.
