IDF Kills Hamas Commander Behind October 7 Attacks in Gaza City Strike
Amid U.S. pressure to avoid attacks in Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), guided by the Shin Bet, targeted and killed Jamal Mahmoud Abu Kamil, a Hamas commander, in Gaza City on Thursday. Abu Kamil was involved in the October 7 massacre when Hamas militants infiltrated Israeli territory. Throughout the ongoing conflict, he had been orchestrating terror operations against Israeli civilians and military forces. The IDF eliminated him via an airstrike to neutralize the immediate threat. An IDF spokesperson stated that Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area under existing agreements and will continue operations to remove any imminent dangers.
