Police Investigator Probed for Sexual Harassment of Woman Filing Complaint at Station
A police investigator is under investigation by the Police Investigations Department (Mahash) for allegedly sexually harassing and committing an indecent act against a woman who came to a police station to file a complaint. The incident occurred when the woman arrived to report a violent event and was taken by the officer to a separate interrogation room. The officer reportedly told her he needed to examine injuries she sustained during the incident. He then asked her to remove her clothing to expose private areas and allegedly touched her without consent during this examination.
Following the interrogation, the officer was released under restrictive conditions, including being barred from police facilities and prohibited from contacting those involved in the case for 11 days. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the allegations.
