A tense confrontation took place between Deputy Commander Lior Abudraham, head of the Israel Police communications division, and a senior female officer who accuses him of sexual harassment. The hearing, requested by the officer, reportedly turned emotional, with her breaking into tears and telling him, "You said obscene, vulgar sexual things to me." Abudraham denied the claim and replied, "Everything was mutual. This was not harassment."
According to the quotes aired Tuesday night on Channel 12’s main evening broadcast, the officer accused him of humiliating her and said, "You should be ashamed of yourself, a senior police officer, for everything you put me through." Abudraham answered that at no point did she tell him no or stop, while she insisted she had repeatedly said, "Lior, stop." He also said, "You are lying" and claimed she had "played truth or dare" with him.
The officer rejected that version, saying she had told a friend in real time about "the filth" she experienced and asked investigators, "How did we get to the point where, from a woman who filed a complaint about sexual harassment, I became someone under caution? How can such a thing be normalized?"
At the end of the confrontation, both were released to their homes and barred from contacting each other. The officer’s friend, whom she mentioned during the confrontation, was summoned to give testimony, and the investigation is ongoing. The case is part of the investigation into associates of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
