Israeli Police Officer Investigated for Sexual Harassment of Woman Filing Complaint
The Police Investigations Department (Mahash) announced on Thursday that a police investigations officer, holding the rank of inspector, was questioned by the Jerusalem Mahash team. The officer is suspected of sexually harassing and committing an indecent act against a woman who had come to a police station to file a complaint. Following the interrogation, the officer was released under conditions including removal from police facilities and a prohibition on contacting the involved parties for 11 days. Mahash stated that the investigation is ongoing.
