Israeli Health Ministry Warns Against Consuming 'Alaska' Mineral Water from Palestinian Authority Area

The Israeli Ministry of Health has issued a warning against consuming mineral water branded 'Alaska,' which is sourced from a well in the Samaria region by a company under the Palestinian Authority. The water is produced without any regulatory oversight or known safety conditions. Health inspectors recently seized a shipment of 'Alaska' bottled water that was illegally imported into Israel from Palestinian Authority territories without the necessary permits. Due to the lack of supervision and unknown production conditions, the Ministry of Health cannot guarantee the safety of these products and advises the public to avoid consuming any sizes or expiration dates of this water.

The Ministry urges consumers to purchase food and beverages only from recognized and authorized distributors. The Food Service Department of the Ministry will continue to monitor and identify cases of unauthorized food imports into Israel and will take all necessary legal measures in cooperation with relevant authorities to enforce compliance with Israeli laws and standards.
