Likud MK Avichai Boaron Predicts Strong Election Results and Calls for Party Unity

Avichai Boaron, a prominent Likud Member of Knesset, recently spoke on 103fm radio about the party's prospects ahead of the upcoming primaries and general elections. Boaron, newly appointed as head of Likud's field operations, emphasized the need for party members to maintain focus and proportionality amid internal tensions regarding the candidate list and political maneuvers by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Boaron confidently stated that Likud's actual support is stronger than media polls suggest, predicting the party will secure significantly more mandates than reported by Channels 12 and 13. He described securing the 32nd spot on the party list as realistic and expressed certainty that he himself will rank within the top five candidates.

Addressing the controversy over reserved spots (sharionim) on the list, Boaron explained these are strategic moves to consolidate the right-wing bloc rather than simply adding generals, academics, or businessmen. He acknowledged that some compromises are necessary for the greater good of the party.

While fully backing Netanyahu, Boaron noted that internal criticism is healthy when kept private, warning against airing disputes publicly as it is counterproductive. He concluded with a unifying message to voters and party members, calling for a "happy right-wing" that can win the elections.
