Arbitrator Sets Compensation for Hapoel Petah Tikva Defender Roy Zrihen at One-Sixth of Demand

Hapoel Petah Tikva is preparing for the upcoming season with hopes of matching last year's success, which ended in the upper playoff. Coach Omer Peretz aims to strengthen the defense, and one of the sought-after players training with the team is defender Roy Zrihen from Hapoel Rishon LeZion. Zrihen became involved in a dispute with his former club over compensation fees. On Wednesday, an arbitrator ruled that Zrihen, represented by his agent and lawyer Tal Spivak, must pay Hapoel Rishon LeZion 210,000 shekels as compensation. This amount is significantly lower than the 1.2 million shekels initially demanded by Rishon LeZion, equating to just one-sixth of their claim. It is important to note that this payment concerns enhancement fees owed to the former club and not a transfer fee.
