Arbitrator Sets Compensation for Roy Zrihan's Transfer to Hapoel Petah Tikva at One-Sixth of Requested Amount

Hapoel Petah Tikva is preparing for the upcoming season, aiming to replicate or surpass last year's success which ended in the top playoff bracket. Coach Omer Peretz is looking to strengthen the defense, and one of the sought-after players already training with the team is defender Roy Zrihan from Hapoel Rishon LeZion. However, Zrihan's transfer sparked a dispute between the two clubs regarding compensation.

On Wednesday, an arbitrator ruled that Zrihan, represented by his agent and lawyer Tal Spivak, must pay Hapoel Rishon LeZion 210,000 shekels as compensation. This amount is significantly lower than the 1.2 million shekels originally demanded by the Rishon LeZion club, equating to just one-sixth of their request. It is important to note that this payment concerns enhancement fees owed to the orange team and not a transfer fee.

This decision concludes the saga surrounding Zrihan's move to Hapoel Petah Tikva, allowing the club to proceed with their preparations for the new season with their defensive reinforcement in place.
