Three-Year-Old Yael Betzalel Dies After Choking on Grape in Jerusalem
Yael Rivka Betzalel, a three-year-old girl from the Ramot neighborhood in Jerusalem, passed away this morning at Shaare Zedek Medical Center after being on life support for two weeks. She had choked while eating a grape at home. Yael was the daughter of Rabbi Yitzhak Betzalel and granddaughter of the late Rabbi David Betzalel, who recently passed away. Her mother, Mrs. Hannah, is the daughter of Rabbi Asher Malul from Beitar. The family is mourning deeply, especially as the tragedy occurred just one week before the wedding of Yael's older sister. The funeral will take place today, Wednesday, at 4:00 PM, starting from the Shamgar funeral home in Jerusalem and proceeding to the Yemenite section of Har HaMenuchot cemetery for burial. May her soul be bound in the bond of life.
