Israeli Security Forces Evacuate Settlement Outpost Near Kusra Amid Clashes

Israeli security forces arrived on Wednesday morning in the Kusra area of the West Bank following the establishment of an Israeli civilian settlement outpost near Palestinian homes. The outpost included a makeshift shelter built on Area B land under a military closed zone order. Senior commanders, including the Central Command chief, the Judea and Samaria Division commander, and the Border Police commander for the West Bank, visited the site to assess the situation and oversee the evacuation of Israeli civilians from the area.

During their visit, the commanders met with the Palestinian family residing nearby, who confirmed their home had electricity and water infrastructure. Concurrently, Border Police units began dismantling the shelter and removing the Israeli civilians present. The Israeli military spokesperson stated the operation was ongoing and condemned the actions of the Israeli civilians toward the Palestinian family, ordering disciplinary measures against security personnel filmed at the scene days earlier.

This incident occurs amid heightened tensions in the Kusra and Jalud villages, with recent reports of Israeli civilians entering Palestinian homes and lands, prompting the imposition of a military closed zone. In parallel, the Civil Administration conducted extensive enforcement actions against illegal construction in northern Samaria, demolishing dozens of structures, including a large 850-square-meter building near Sha-Nur.

The security forces continue to manage the situation in Kusra while addressing unauthorized settlement activity and maintaining order in the area.
