Israeli Security Forces Begin Evacuating Unauthorized Outpost Near Palestinian Village of Kusra

Israeli security forces have started evacuating settlers who established an unauthorized outpost near the Palestinian village of Kusra, located adjacent to Palestinian homes. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) dismantled a tent set up on the access road, while Border Police are actively removing the settlers from the area. The operation follows over 48 hours during which the settlers remained at the site, causing Palestinian families to claim they were unable to leave their homes and were running low on food supplies.

Central Command Chief Major General Avi Blot arrived at Kusra to oversee the operation. Security officials also plan to evacuate another illegal outpost recently built in the village of Jalud. In recent days, reservist IDF soldiers were documented praying alongside settlers at the site while wearing military uniforms. The IDF condemned these actions and stated that any involvement by reservists or active-duty soldiers in such events will be dealt with through disciplinary measures.

Additionally, the IDF revealed that several hilltop activists attempted to enter the closed military zone near Kusra using an ambulance, which was stopped and inspected by military and police forces. The area lacks a permanent military presence, increasing the risks associated with Jewish presence in the vicinity. After the evacuation, dozens of Jewish individuals arrived and threw stones and rocks onto the road, apparently trying to block the path for incoming security forces.
