IDF Begins Evicting Settlers From Expanded Outpost Near Palestinian Village in West Bank

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) started evacuating tents erected by settlers near the Palestinian village of Kusra in the West Bank on Wednesday. The tents are part of the outpost known as Tel Talpiot, which settlers have repeatedly rebuilt after multiple evacuations over the past two years. This time, the settlers expanded beyond the original outpost area, placing tents just meters from Palestinian homes, prompting security forces to prepare for a new removal operation.

Palestinian residents of Kusra claim the tents effectively besiege three families due to their close proximity to residential buildings. The repeated expansions and reestablishments of Tel Talpiot have made it a focal point for enforcement actions by Israeli security forces. Recently, videos circulated showing soldiers from the Home Front Command praying with settlers inside one of the tents, an incident the IDF has confirmed is under investigation.

The IDF has not yet disclosed details about the investigation's findings or any disciplinary measures. Preparations for the current evacuation are underway, marking another chapter in the ongoing conflict over this outpost, which settlers have persistently rebuilt despite repeated removals by security forces.
