IDF Chief Says Lebanon Is the Main Focus, While Other Fronts Remain on Alert
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said the military’s main effort is now focused on the Lebanese front, while the Israel Defense Forces are also preparing for possible developments in other arenas.
Zamir’s brief remarks framed Lebanon as the center of gravity for current military planning. At the same time, he said the army is not restricting itself to one theater and is maintaining readiness for changes elsewhere.
The statement did not specify which additional fronts were being monitored or what kind of developments the IDF expects. It did make clear that operational planning is being carried out on more than one axis, with Lebanon taking priority.
