Sandy Cohen Signs with Hapoel Haifa for 2026/27 Season
Hapoel Haifa officially announced the signing of small forward Sandy Cohen for the 2026/27 basketball season. Cohen is a veteran player with a rich history in the Israeli Premier League, having won five major titles including two national championships and two State Cups with Maccabi Tel Aviv, as well as a State Cup with Bnei Herzliya. Throughout his career, Cohen has also played for Hapoel Afula, Hapoel Tel Aviv, and most recently joined Maccabi Haifa mid-last season, where he averaged 11.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists over 21 games.
Hapoel Haifa's coach Sharon Drucker welcomed Cohen, praising his athleticism, experience, and strong two-way skills. Drucker also noted that Cohen's familiarity with the league from last season will be an asset to the team as they face upcoming challenges. Cohen's addition is expected to strengthen Hapoel Haifa's roster for the new season.
