Omer Agbadish Named New Captain of Hapoel Jerusalem Football Club

Omer Agbadish has been appointed the new captain of Hapoel Jerusalem, replacing Avuka Eshta who left the club this summer to join Dinamo Batumi. The club praised Agbadish as a beloved homegrown player from the classic Hapoel Jerusalem academy. Noam Malmud will serve as vice-captain if needed.

Hapoel Jerusalem recently concluded their Toto Cup campaign with two wins, one draw, and one loss, which the club views positively as a foundation for the upcoming league season. Coach Lior Zada emphasized the importance of starting the season strongly, aiming to avoid past slow starts. He encourages players to adopt a "positive audacity," combining creativity, initiative, and aggressive play on the field.

So far, the team has signed eight new players and plans to add three or four more before the transfer window closes. Two of the potential signings, Raymond Okon and Muhammad Hamza, are from Hapoel Jerusalem's Nigerian project and have been training with the club for over two weeks. One may initially join the youth team.

The club is also pleased with the pace of season ticket sales and membership renewals. However, it remains uncertain whether the league opener against Maccabi Tel Aviv will be postponed due to Maccabi's European fixtures or held as scheduled.
