Omer Agbadish Named New Captain of Hapoel Jerusalem Football Club

Omer Agbadish has been appointed the new captain of Hapoel Jerusalem, replacing Avuka Eshta who left the club this summer to join Dinamo Batumi. Agbadish, a homegrown player highly regarded by the club, will be supported by Noam Malmod as vice-captain if needed. The club recently completed the Toto Cup with two wins, one draw, and one loss, which they view positively as a foundation for a strong league campaign. Coach Lior Zada emphasized the importance of "positive audacity," encouraging players to be more creative, aggressive, and proactive on the field.

So far, Hapoel Jerusalem has signed eight new players and plans to add three or four more before the transfer window closes. Among the potential recruits are two players from the club’s Nigerian project, Raymond Okon and Muhammad Hamza, who have been on trial for over two weeks; one may initially join the youth team. The club is also pleased with the pace of season ticket sales and membership renewals. A pending issue remains whether the league opener against Maccabi Tel Aviv will be postponed due to Maccabi’s European commitments or held as scheduled.
