The individual sought medical care after developing a fever and is currently being treated in isolation at Soroka Medical Center under strict protocols. Since the Ebola outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda in recent months, the Ministry has been closely monitoring global developments and preparing the healthcare system for any potential cases. The Ministry advises the public to avoid non-essential travel to areas with active Ebola transmission, specifically Congo and Uganda, and recommends travelers consult travel clinics before visiting these regions.

Travelers returning from these areas who develop fever or unusual symptoms within 21 days are urged to stay home, avoid contact with others, and contact the Ministry's health hotline at *5400, informing them of their travel history. The Ministry emphasized that at this stage, the Ebola case remains a suspicion only and pledged to keep the public and medical personnel informed as new information becomes available.
