Former EuroLeague Center Freddy Gillespie Signs Two-Year Deal with Nes Ziona

Nes Ziona has made a significant move in the basketball transfer window by signing center Freddy Gillespie to a two-year contract. The 29-year-old, standing 2.06 meters tall, joins the Israeli team after playing last season with Galatasaray. Gillespie has an extensive EuroLeague background, having played 82 games before leaving after the 2024/2025 season, finishing with Milan. During his time in the EuroLeague with Milan, he averaged 2.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game, while last season in the EuroCup with Galatasaray, he posted 5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

Known for his physical presence and dominance under the basket, Gillespie will join Jacob Wiley at the center position for Nes Ziona. The club has also signed Paris Lee, Adam Ariel, Vincent Amsalem, Noam Dovrat, and Benia Sarur this summer, complementing returning key players Bryce Brown, Jackson Rowe, and Spencer Weisz.
