Third Hezbollah drone falls inside Israel as army investigates

Red Alert sirens sounded Monday morning in several communities along the frontline after suspicions of an enemy aircraft entering Israeli airspace. The Israel Defense Forces later confirmed that a suspected aerial target had fallen inside Israel near the border with Lebanon. According to the military spokesman, there were no injuries and the incident is being investigated. The IDF also said the object landed in a military area inside Israel, not in a civilian settlement.

The incident came amid repeated launches from Lebanon. It was the third time since the morning that alarms were reported in the area, and the third Hezbollah-related aerial incident in the past 24 hours. Earlier on Monday, the IDF said two Hezbollah drones had fallen inside Israeli territory near the Lebanese border. That event also caused no casualties, and an investigation was opened.

In response, the IDF Arabic-language spokesperson issued evacuation instructions to residents of 16 villages in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon. No evacuation orders were issued for Beirut at this stage, despite the stated policy by the prime minister and defense minister that any attack on Israel would be answered by a strike in Beirut’s Dahieh district.
