Israel Strikes Hezbollah Targets in Beirut After Drone Attacks on the North
After three drones launched from Lebanon exploded this morning in the Western Galilee, causing no injuries, the IDF struck Hezbollah targets this afternoon in Beirut's Dahiyeh district. The airstrikes came after reports from the Lebanese capital of explosions heard in the area.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said the attack was carried out under their instruction. In a statement, they said the IDF had struck Hezbollah terrorist targets in Dahiyeh in response to Hezbollah fire toward Israeli territory.
The incident follows the drone launches from Lebanon earlier in the day and marks an Israeli military response against Hezbollah positions in Beirut. No casualties were reported from the drone explosions in northern Israel.
