Hezbollah Drones Land Inside Israel as Ceasefire Is Violated

Red alert sirens sounded Sunday morning in several border communities, including Bezet, Hahof Bezet, Rosh Hanikra and Shlomi, after suspicions of an enemy aircraft infiltration. The IDF later said two Hezbollah drones crashed inside Israeli territory near the border with Lebanon. No one was hurt, and the incident is under review.

It was the third report in the last 24 hours of Hezbollah fire from Lebanon. Overnight, officials said a suspicious aerial target was identified falling in the area of where IDF forces are operating in southern Lebanon. In a separate incident, the Air Force intercepted a rocket fired at those forces, and the interception attempts triggered additional alerts. There were no casualties in either case.

The escalation comes after Defense Minister Israel Katz repeatedly warned last week that any Hezbollah attack on northern Israeli communities would be answered with strikes on Beirut's Dahieh district. “Dahieh is the same as the northern communities,” Katz said. “Any attack on the northern communities will lead to an attack in Dahieh. The IDF will continue operating in Lebanon against the terrorist organization Hezbollah.” He also said, “We firmly reject Iran's threats. Any Iranian attempt to tie Lebanon and Iran together and attack Israel will be met with great force.”
