Israeli Police Adjust Speed Camera Enforcement Thresholds to Enhance Road Safety

The Traffic Department of the Israeli Police is set to implement updated enforcement thresholds for speed cameras nationwide in the coming days. This decision follows a comprehensive professional review of the A3 camera network, analyzing each camera's location based on road characteristics, traffic volumes, accident data, injury rates, and risk factors. The update targets areas with heightened danger to road users, aiming to better align enforcement with current road conditions.

Traffic Department Chief Commissioner Chaim Shmueli authorized the changes after detailed assessments of each camera site.
