Netanya's Miriam Stadium to Expand with Two New Stands Increasing Capacity to 26,000

Netanya's Miriam Stadium, known for hosting multiple teams and one of the busiest stadiums in Israel, is set for a significant expansion. The city plans to add two new stands, transforming the stadium's layout and increasing its seating capacity from approximately 13,000 to around 26,000 spectators.

A recent rendering of the stadium shows a new oval design, fully enclosed with the additional stands, which will give the venue a modern and impressive appearance. The renovation aims to elevate the stadium to one of the highest standards in the country.

Netanya Mayor Avi Salama spoke about the project in an interview with Sport 5, emphasizing the stadium's importance to the community and the local football club Maccabi Netanya. He stated, "The plan is for it to be oval and closed on all sides. The capacity will reach about 30,000 people. It will be one of the highest-level stadiums in the country. Maccabi Netanya is the heart and soul, and we are connected to the community."

The expansion reflects the city's commitment to supporting local sports and providing a top-tier venue for fans and teams alike. The project is expected to significantly enhance the stadium's facilities and spectator experience.
