Police Chase Ends in Crash After 16-Year-Old Tries to Flee South District Patrol
During a planned enforcement operation by officers from the Yoav Unit in Israel’s Southern District, a motorcycle officer spotted a vehicle whose driver tried to escape after noticing police. The officer pursued the car as it sped away in a way that endangered road users.
Shortly afterward, the driver lost control and the vehicle overturned on the side of the road. The suspect was arrested at the scene.
Police said the driver was a 16-year-old minor with no driving license at all. Checks at the scene also found that the vehicle’s registration was not valid. The suspect was taken to Segev Shalom police station for further treatment and investigation.
