Rabbi Avraham Weiner, Senior Biala Hasidic Leader, Dies at 93
Rabbi Avraham Weiner, one of the senior figures of the Biala Hasidic dynasty, passed away at the age of 93 on Friday morning at Maayanei Hayeshua Hospital in Bnei Brak. Born in May 1933 to Yosef Binyamin and Chava Weiner, he studied at the Or Israel Yeshiva in Petah Tikva during his youth and dedicated most of his life to Torah study and community leadership.
Throughout his life, Rabbi Weiner was closely connected to the successive rebbes of the Biala dynasty, including Rabbi Yechiel Yehoshua of Kotna and Rabbi David Matityahu Rabinowitz, as well as the current rebbe. He leaves behind a large family, including his son Shmuel Yitzchak Weiner, who serves as CEO of the Lekach Tov Talmud Torah in Bnei Brak.
The funeral procession began at 10:30 AM from his home on HaRav Maimon Street in Bnei Brak, continuing at 12:45 PM from the Shamgar Funeral Home in Jerusalem to the Mount of Olives Cemetery, where he was laid to rest.
