Israel Faces Increasing Heat Stress Over Weekend with Slight Temperature Fluctuations
Starting Saturday morning, Israel will experience partly cloudy skies that will clear up later in the day, accompanied by a slight drop in temperatures returning to seasonal norms across most regions. Despite this, heat stress will intensify in most areas. On Sunday, skies will remain partly cloudy in the morning and clear by afternoon, with a slight temperature rise and further increase in heat stress nationwide. By Monday, after morning clouds dissipate, temperatures will climb above seasonal averages, causing heavy to extreme heat stress especially in inland areas, while the coastal plain will remain cooler.
Specific temperature forecasts include Tel Aviv-Jaffa ranging from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius, Haifa 27 to 30, Jerusalem 19 to 30, Ashdod 24 to 31, Beersheba 23 to 33, Ashkelon 26 to 30, Mitzpe Ramon 19 to 30, and Afula 22 to 34 degrees Celsius. Residents are advised to prepare for increasing heat burdens over the weekend and early next week.
