Miri Regev Faces Heated Confrontation with Shani Look's Father at Jerusalem Market

Transportation Minister Miri Regev was confronted by Nissim Look, father of Shani Look who was kidnapped and murdered during the October 7 massacre at the Nova party, during a visit to Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda Market on Thursday. The encounter occurred amid Regev's campaign for the Likud primaries. Nissim Look accused Regev and the Likud party of responsibility for the October 7 attacks, stating, "3,000 were murdered because of you," and claimed that Likud financed Hamas. Regev responded by expressing pride in her party and later assured that she is committed to establishing a national investigative committee to examine the events and hold all accountable.

The confrontation escalated with activists intervening to separate the two, and a Likud campaigner verbally attacked Look, accusing him of provocation and blaming other political figures like Naftali Bennett and Avigdor Lieberman for funding Hamas. The dispute highlighted deep tensions over the government's handling of security and the aftermath of the October 7 attacks.

Regev also shared with Look that her own daughter survived the Nova attack, and she expressed condolences to families who lost loved ones. She reaffirmed her dedication to Israel's security, including efforts to disarm Hamas and demilitarize the Gaza Strip, as part of her role in the cabinet.
