Father of Murdered Shani Luk Confronts Transportation Minister Miri Regev Over October 7 Tragedy

Nissim Luk, father of Shani Luk who was brutally murdered and abducted to Gaza on October 7, confronted Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev during her campaign visit to Mahane Yehuda Market in Jerusalem. Wearing a shirt from the "Orhot Hashachar" party, Luk loudly accused Regev and the Likud party of responsibility for the October 7 attacks, saying, "You caused October 7. Shame on you, Likud. My daughter Shani Luk was murdered because of you. Shame on you. 3,000 killed because of you, and you keep smiling." Regev ignored the confrontation, turning away and continuing to pose for photos before entering her campaign vehicle.

Luk further accused Likud of funding Hamas, prompting a heated exchange with one of Regev's supporters who dismissed Luk's claims and accused him of provocation. Luk responded by reiterating that Likud financed Hamas, while the supporter countered by accusing Luk and other politicians like Bennett, Lieberman, and Lapid of the same. Luk also criticized a peace council agreement with Hamas in Gaza, accusing Likud leaders including Netanyahu, Smotrich, Ben Gvir, Struck, Saar, and Levin of passing legislation that would transfer control of Gaza to Muslim Brotherhood affiliates. The supporter defended Netanyahu, stating only he knows what will happen. Luk concluded by condemning Likud as collapsing and falsely right-wing.
