Father of Terror Victim Confronts Israeli Transport Minister Over October 7 Attacks

Nissim Luk, father of Shani Luk who was killed and abducted to Gaza on October 7, confronted Israeli Transport Minister Miri Regev during her campaign visit to Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda market. Wearing a shirt from the "Orot HaShachar" party, Luk accused Regev and the Likud party of causing the October 7 attacks, shouting, "You caused October 7. Shame on you, Likud. My daughter Shani Luk was murdered because of you. 3,000 were killed because of you, and you keep smiling." Despite the confrontation, Regev continued taking photos with supporters and left in her campaign vehicle.

The exchange escalated when Luk accused Likud of funding Hamas, prompting a supporter of Regev to question the relevance. Luk responded by accusing the supporter and other politicians, including Naftali Bennett, Avigdor Lieberman, and Yair Lapid, of financing Hamas. Luk also criticized government policies regarding Gaza, alleging they signed agreements to transfer control of Gaza to Muslim Brotherhood affiliates.

Luk specifically blamed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and ministers Bezalel Smotrich, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Simcha Rothman, Gideon Sa'ar, and Yoaz Hendel for passing laws facilitating this transfer. He warned Likud members that the party would collapse, accusing them of being left-wing rather than right-wing. The confrontation highlighted deep anger from victims' families over government responsibility for the October 7 attacks and Gaza policy.
