Father of Slain Victim Confronts Israeli Transport Minister Over October 7 Tragedy

Nissim Look, father of Shani Look who was brutally murdered and abducted to Gaza on October 7, confronted Israeli Transport Minister Miri Regev at Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda Market. The confrontation occurred during Regev's visit as part of her Likud primary campaign. Wearing a shirt representing the "Or HaShachar" party, Look accused Regev and the Likud party of responsibility for the deaths of 3,000 people, shouting, "My daughter Shani Look was murdered because of you. Shame on you."

Regev ignored the accusations, turning her back and continuing to take photos with supporters before leaving the scene. The heated exchange included Look blaming the Likud for financing Hamas, which a Regev supporter disputed, leading to a tense back-and-forth. Look also criticized the peace council's agreement with Hamas in Gaza, accusing the government of transferring control of Gaza to Muslim factions.

Look further condemned political leaders including Netanyahu, Smotrich, Ben Gvir, and others for passing legislation that he claims facilitates Hamas's control over Gaza. He warned that Likud is collapsing and accused them of being left-wing rather than right-wing. This confrontation highlights the deep pain and anger among families of victims and hostages from the October 7 attacks, many of whom hold the political leadership accountable for the tragedy.

Shani Look was one of the victims of the massacre in southern Israel, and her body was taken to Gaza by Hamas militants.
